Sail to the Isle of Man

Travel to the Isle of Man by sea and you’ll have the option of coming on foot or bringing the car – perfect if you are travelling with your family, bringing sports equipment or if you just want to retain your independence while here.

Overview

The Steam Packet Company operates ferry services to the Isle of Man from Heysham, Liverpool, Dublin and Belfast.

Choose between the conventional ferry, the Ben-my-Chree, which operates all year from Birkenhead, Heysham, Dublin and Belfast or the fast craft, Manannan, which runs between March and November from Liverpool, Dublin and Belfast.

On board both ships you’ll find shops, cafes and bars as well as premium and executive lounges if you are looking to travel in style. Pets are also allowed on some ferry services.

You’ll dock at the Sea Terminal in Douglas, the Island’s capital, where you’ll find car hire terminals as well as a taxi rank and bus station just outside.

If you wish to visit the Island during the TT and Manx Grand Prix periods, please book well in advance. These are exceptionally busy times and you will need to book early in order to fulfil your travel plans.

Please check with the Steam Packet Company on 01624 661661, for timetables, fares and detailed booking information.
