A unique opportunity to watch real artists at work in this modern art gallery located in the Island’s capital, Douglas.
Overview
The Sayle Gallery operates as a registered charity to promote art and artists on the Isle of Man.
The gallery aims to inspire interest in the visual arts and showcases the work of local artists as well as supporting the development of their practices.
Visitors to the gallery will find a wide array of art on display with regular exhibitions and an artist in residence.
These artists are usually art graduates or practicing artists who have been selected by a group of professional artists and work directly in the Sayle Gallery, offering visitors the chance to see first hand how artwork is created.
You’ll also be able to purchase artwork from a range of local artists and friends of the gallery in the shop. There’s a broad range of styles and media to suit a wide range of tastes and budgets including include original cards, prints, handmade glass, ceramics and sculpture.
Opening Times and Admission
The Sayle Gallery is open all year between 1pm and 5pm on Mondays and from 10am to 5pm between Tuesday and Saturday.
The gallery is also open on Sundays between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.
Admission is free.
