Manx Classic 2012 - 26th, 27th and 28th April 2012
The Manx Classic, a three-day sprint and hillclimb for classic and modern sports cars will take place on the Isle of Man on Thursday 26th, Friday 27th and Saturday 28th April 2012.
Featuring rare vintage cars, exotic classic sports cars, ever-popular Minis and Escorts, and modern prestige sports cars, a great range of cars compete for the Fastest Time of Day at three different courses on closed public roads across the Island.
The Manx Classic will be held over three days and will run three events: The Governor's Sprint, starting from the TT Grandstand in Douglas, on the Thursday evening; The Sloc Hill Climb, in the south of the Island, on the Friday; and The Lhergy Frissel Hill Climb, exiting Ramsey on the famous TT Course, on the Saturday. Founded in 1987, the Manx Motor Racing Club organises closed-roads events in the Isle of Man - the road racing capital of the world. Since 1904, when the first Gordon Bennett Races were held on a 72-mile road circuit, the Isle of Man has offered motor racing enthusiasts a perfect mix of racing heritage, challenging roads and picturesque scenery.
