The Isle of Man International Business School (The IBS) was established in 1999 as the first Higher Education Institution on the Isle of Man. Located close to the business centre of Douglas, in a magnificent 19th century mansion house known as The Nunnery, the Business School offers teaching, conferencing and event facilities to local and non–resident individuals and companies.
If you want to provide impressive hospitality for your clients or colleagues in a spectacular setting, the Business School offers the perfect environment. Whether you require a tranquil atmosphere to clinch that important deal, or state–of–the–art conference facilities to deliver those important presentations, The Nunnery mansion house, built in 1823, is an exclusive venue available to make your event unique.
The light and spacious, purpose–designed rooms of The IBS are available for corporate and private hire and vary in delegate capacity from 2 to 120 people. All rooms are multi–functional and offer a range of high–tech audio/ visual and I.T. equipment, telephone points and natural lighting.
The IBS prides itself in offering a bespoke service to all its clients and offers simple and flexible options for hirers for instance, full day, half day or evening hire, discounts for multiple and long term bookings and optional ‘extras’ such as refreshments, catering and I.T. equipment. The magnificent grounds of The Nunnery Estate are also available by special arrangement for marquee functions, filming and other outdoor events.
