Situated on the north end of Douglas promenade, and built to the highest specifications within the framework of the existing 1930’s building, the Strathallan Suite offers purpose-built facilities in a modern setting, with high quality furnishings designed to complement the original beech flooring.

Two sets of double doors lead from the lounge area into the spacious and airy conference room that is ideal for board meeting, lectures, theatre-style presentations and training courses.

Purpose built units complemented by specially designed leather chairs can be utilised as a single boardroom table or laid out as individual desks to create a training environment.

All facilities are designed to suit modern business requirements, including a projector/whiteboard unit and provision for videoconferencing, and can be tailored to suit individual needs. The Suite is supported by a modern, fitted kitchen capable of catering for small groups, while one of the Island’s longest established public houses is right next door.

Like the Strathallan Suite, the Corporation’s own Council Chamber represents a fine example of the partnership between the local authority and local business. The Chamber, used for Council business for the past 100 years and steeped in history, is also available for hire for both business and private functions.
