Tynwald Hill

To many Manx people, Tynwald Hill symbolises the enduring independence of the Isle of Man and its parliament. Tynwald Hill is a man made mound, three tiers high and it occupies a promient spot in St Johns, in the heart of the Island. On the 5th of July every year, the Manx parliament 'Tynwald' meets on Tynwald Hill for the annual open air ceremony and fair.
