Danescourt is a quiet contemporary home with magnificent views over Douglas Bay. We are open all year, except when we are away. We charge 35 pounds per person per night bed and breakfast for two people sharing. We can accommodate a maximum of six guests in our two rooms which both have modern en-suite bathrooms with showers over the bath. If guests find it difficult to shower in a bath they are welcome to use our downstairs cloakroom which has a walk-in shower. Both our rooms include a full-size fridge, trouser press, tea and coffee making facilities, sweets, fresh flowers and fruit, bath robes, flat-screen TV and DVD player with local DVDs. We provide toiletries in the bathroom and have a cot, high chair, steriliser, nappy disposer, baby alarm etc. for young children. We offer a range of breakfast items, to suit different tastes and diets, including fresh fruit, home-cooked ham, fish and (of course) a 'full English'. We are situated north of Douglas at Onchan Head on the seaward side of the coast road about 1.5 miles from Governor's Bridge and 1.5 miles from the Douglas promenade (in summer trams pass our door). We can collect guests from the airport or sea-terminal. The whole house is centrally heated. Below the house is a large double garage which can be used for secure storage of motorcycles and cars. Adjoining this is a small pottery studio with sink and hot water. Our drive provides ample parking space. The terraced garden has several patios: one has a model live-steam railway running round the flower beds and one has a lawn with summer house. Free broadband wireless internet access (16 MBps) is available. Blunder (our tabby cat) will not allow pets. We are a no-smoking establishment under the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2006.
